I use it after my shower sometimes. It is soft, never damages my skin. I also take it freshly washed to my appointment for pedicure. My pedicurist loves this product also. Since I have dry skin all my life , I could easily pick up bacteria from other sources. It is especially good on my dry cracking heels .
