How to Prepare For Your Treatment
Preparing for your treatment may be necessary; find out below what is recommended to do before your treatment!

Lashes

Please come with no makeup on, especially around the eye area.

If you had a lash lift in the past, please wait 6-8 weeks since your last lash lift.

Ensure you are available to lay down for 2-3 hours.

You can wear comfy clothes and bring airpods etc for entertainment; we also play music & have blankets!

Bring photo references of what you want & prepare any questions

Prepare to buy the aftercare kit which is $25
-
Be on time, or 5 minutes early.

Avoid coffee and other stimulants prior to your appointment; it will make your eyes switchy.

Remove your contacts.

Nails
-
Please come with only bare nails; unless you book a shellac removal/ gel nail removal etc. Regular nail polish or treatments is fine.

If you are getting extensions, healthy nails is best for long lasting nails; try to grow them out as much as you can.

Come prepared with nail photos; do you want them square or oval? Pink or blue? You have time to see our examples but preparation is helpful.

Book in nail art to ensure we have time to do your designs.

Ensure your budget in for aftercare products such as cuticle oil.

Waxing
-
Use a gentle scrub or exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment.
-
If it is a body wax, ensure you shower 1-2 hours before your appointment.

The hair must be at least a rice grain in length, or 2-3 weeks from shaving, or 2-5 from waxing.

You can still be waxed while menstruating; or pregnant note that your pain tolerance is lower.

We do not recommend waxing if you have a sunburn, have been tanning within the last 24 hours, have had a chemical peel or cosmetic injections, or taking any acne meditations or creams.

If you are on an acne medication, you must wait 6 months before a wax.

Hair Colouring

Arrive with clean hair, wash and use little to no products prior to your appointment.

Bring photos! Reference photos are important, especially for colouring services.

If you are coming for a colouring service, ensure you book an in-person consultation first to ensure you are aware of the time you will be in the salon, and the cost.

Prepare to purchase aftercare products; high quality shampoos and conditioners are vital for long lasting colours.

Facials

Arrive with bare skin, no makeup. Arriving with a clean face will give you the best results.
-
Avoid exfoliation and retinols 24-48 hours prior to your appointment; 1 week is best.

Avoid extractions at home.
-
Breakouts are not uncommon after facials; if you have an event; keep this in mind.

Bring a list of your skincare products and regime for the esthetician to help make recommendations.

Lash Lifts

Remove all eye makeup prior to your appointment.
-
Avoid curling your lashes at least 24 hours prior.

Remove contact lenses.

Brow Lamination
-
Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for 1-2 weeks prior to your brow appointment.

Please come to the appointment without any makeup on your face.

Pedicures
-
Please inform the spa if you have current gel polish/shellac on your toes as we will need to book in extra time for the removal.

Shower or clean your feet prior to your pedicure.

Chemical Peels
-
We strongly recommend trying our introductory facial or even our mini-facial prior to your chemical peel to talk to an esthetician and ensure your skin is compatible.
-
Contrindications to chemical peels are: History of an allergic reaction to a peeling agent, ongoing infection, open lacerations or wounds in area of the peel, recent isotretinoin in the last 6 months, pregnant or chest feeding, active facial rashes, herpes simplex/cold sores, eczema, psoriasis or seborrhea on the face, weakend immune system, serious illness, accutane use within 12 months, acne medication within 6 months, diabetes, high blood pressure (check with your doctor), waxing for 3-5 days, botox or injectables for 2 weeks, permant makeup for 3-4 weeks, or any laser resurfacing or facial surgerys for 3-6 months.
